Alard Hüfner is South Africa’s leading bigwall climber and stunt rigger. He holds a B.Tech Degree Construction Management and IRATA 3 qualifications. Alard is a successful business man: his company, Alnix, does support work for the film industry and provides stainless steel cable installations.

His passion for climbing and love for adventure have lead him to climb some of the steepest and largest rock faces in the world, from Madagascar to Mexico from California to Chile.

Sustaining his climbing passion, Alard's support work for the film industry has lead him to be involved in exciting projects such as Fear Factor and The Amazing Race.

Alard’s vibrant presentation will take you on a journey through some wild stunts and on to the remote mountains of South America to climb the “Everest” of steep technical mountains, called Cerro Torre.

Alard has witnessed and experienced fear, lived through the downfall of a climbing accident, persevered through difficulties and enjoyed the sweet success of achieving a goal and standing on the summit.
